We run classes in Bladesmithing (knifemaking), Swordsmithing, Axe Making and Pattern Welding (damascus steel). We are happy to teach  beginners and more experienced smiths. We can cater for 4 and 5 students (dependant on class), providing quality teaching as well as one-to-one tuition. 

The courses concentrate on hand work with a lot of time spent with a hammer over the anvil and  are run using carbon steels. You will also learn how to grind and heat treat your blades. 

We run one day, three day and five day courses, currently the classes run Monday to Friday and not at weekends.

We also offer one to one tuition and can make up a tailored course for your group if you have more than one person who is interested in a tailor made class. 

These courses are open to all aged 18+ who can swing a hammer...(or younger accompanied by a parent; half-days classes can also be arranged), please get in touch with any specific requirements.
